
Zary, Pillar, Garand in NHL Central Scouting Final Rankings

Kamloops, BC - The Kamloops Blazers have three players listed in NHL Central Scouting's Final Rankings. Forward Connor Zary is 15th, Josh Pillar is 120th among North American skaters and goaltender Dylan Garand is 6th among North American goaltenders.
Zary is coming off a tremendous season in which he recorded 38 goals, 48 assists and 86 points in 57 games. He participated in the CIBC Canada/Russia Series, Canada's National Junior Selection Camp and the CHL Top Prospects game this past season. The 18-year-old center has 182 career points in 188 games with the Blazers over the last three seasons.
Pillar completed his second season with the Blazers. He doubled his numbers from his 16-year-old season with 14 goals, 22 assists and 36 points in 63 games.
Garand also completed his second season with the Blazers and went 28-10-2-1 on the season with a 2.21 goals against average and a .921 save percentage. His 2.21 goals against average set a franchise record. He also competed with Team Canada at the Ivan Hlinka Memorial Tournament last August.
The date and location of the 2020 NHL Draft has been postponed due to the coronavirus.
