Springfield Cardinals News Release

A little rain can't ruin our parade...literally. The Springfield Cardinals are set to open the gates in approximately one hour, in preparation for Opening Night 2008, as they take on the Frisco RoughRiders.

Gates open for tonight's game at 5:40pm, as 5,000 fans will receive a FREE 2008 Schedule Magnet courtesy of Great Southern. In addition, St. Louis Cardinals' Hall of Famer Lou Brock will throw out tonight's Ceremonial First Pitch. The evening will be completed with a spectacular Fireworks Extravaganza thanks to AM Pyrotechnics. First pitch is scheduled for 7:10pm!

Game notes are now available for tonight's game, by visiting the home page and clicking on the Game Notes Link on the right hand side of the home page. Game notes will now also feature a probable Springfield starting lineup in the lower right hand corner of the first page.
