CALLED IN THE NATIONAL GARD: Rookie goalie Evan Gardner stopped 31-of-32 shots in his WHL postseason to help the Saskatoon Blades to a 4-1 victory in Game 2 against the Prince Albert Raiders on Friday.

More than 8000 fans inside SaskTel Centre roared for the NHL draft-eligible netminder's performance as the Blades evened their Round 1 series 1-1.

Four different Blades contributed on the scoresheet tonight including Anaheim Ducks draft pick Egor Sidorov, defenceman John Babcock, and forwards Easton Armstrong and Tyler Parr. Sidorov's powerplay tally early in the second period stood as the game-winner and gives him three goals in this series.

Both Parr and Babcock's tallies were their first every playoff goals. Armstrong earned second star of the night with a goal and an assist.

The victory guarantee's a Game 5 back at SaskTel Centre Friday, April 5th at 7:00pm. Single game tickets go on sale Saturday, March 30th at 10:00am.

NEXT GAME: The series shifts to the Art Hauser Centre for games 3 and 4 next week.

Puck drop for Tuesday and Wednesday's game is 7:00pm.
