Three Keys To The Game Presented By Nebraska Department Of Transportation
Key 1: Another Apple For Kleber
- Stars defenseman Adam Kleber picked up the primary assist on the first goal last night to record his sixth apple in the last nine games. His 25 points are tied with Kai Janviriya for the team lead among defensemen. Kleber and Martin Masa both finished a team-best +4 last night.
Key 2: Don't Settle For Sixth
- With last night's win the Stars not only jumped into sixth place but are also only three points back of fifth-place Sioux Falls. The Stampede rallied to force overtime and win in a shootout last night against Tri-City and against face the Storm tonight. The Stars are on a three-game win streak and have two more games with Sioux City to wrap up the regular season after tonight's matchup with Omaha
Key 3: Keep The Goals Coming
- The Stars have scored five-or-more goals in a game in two of the last three games and are undefeated at 13-0 when scoring at least five times. Last night was the first time that the Stars had scored at least six goals in a game since Feb. 3, when they earned a 7-3 win against the Lancers. Both teams have scored 23 goals against each other but Omaha has shut out Lincoln twice.
