Game Two Postponed, Doubleheader Tomorrow

HAGERSTOWN, Md. - The second game of the day between the Suns and Kannapolis has been postponed due to weather. The teams will play two seven-inning contests tomorrow with the first beginning at 5:05 p.m. The second game will start 30 minutes after the first ends.

The Suns (27-12) captured a 4-3 win over Kannapolis (22-15) in the completion of the suspended game from last night prior to the second game being postponed. Paul Applebee (4-1) earned the win, and Steven Upchurch (1-2) was tagged with the loss.

Tickets for the postponed game are exchangeable for any 2011 Suns game. Tickets for Thursday's scheduled game will be good for both games of the doubleheader. Gates open at 4:05 p.m.

Thursday is Strike Out Hunger Night at Municipal Stadium. Bring five or more items for the food shelf and receive a free general admission ticket. There will also be a chance to purchase raffle tickets for prizes including tickets to a Nationals game of your choice, Suns tickets, autographed baseballs and more. A silent auction will be held for the opportunity to throw out a first pitch on June 2 plus tickets to that game, an autographed baseball and ballpark bucks for concessions.

Thursday is also 80s Night at the ballpark. Dress in your best 80s attire and get 2-for-1 general admission tickets. In addition, there will be a live post-game performance by Endangered Species as part of the Thirsty Thursday Thunder Live Series sponsored by Breakaway II Sports Lounge, 101.5 Bob Rocks and Maxedout Entertainment.
