Isotopes Drop Fourth Straight Falling to El Paso

The El Paso Chihuahuas (27-31) pounced on Albuquerque pitching, defeating the Isotopes (28-29), 10-7, on Monday night at Isotopes Park. The defeat marked the Isotopes sixth loss in their last seven games.

Albuquerque starter Matt Flemer's rough season continued as El Paso plated 10 runs (nine earned) against the right-hander. With the loss, the 26-year-old's record fell to 2-5 in 12 starts on the season while his ERA rose to 7.76 from 6.86.

Isotopes relievers C.C. Lee and Nelson Gonzalez combined to strike out eight Chihuahuas over the games final 5.1 innings, limiting El Paso to just one hit and no runs.

Despite early offensive struggles, the Isotopes were eventually able to cross the plate six times on the evening. Rockies prospect and Isotopes infielder Ryan McMahon produced his best game at the Triple-A level, finishing the night 3-for-4 with two runs scored, an RBI and a walk.

Albuquerque and El Paso continue their four-game set on Tuesday evening at Isotopes Park on 50 cent Hot Dog Night. The Chihuahuas will send right-hander Tyrell Jenkins (4-5, 6.51) to the mound while the Isotopes have yet to announce a starter. First pitch from Isotopes Park is set for 7:05 p.m.
