The Vees (33-11-4-4) outshot the Vancouver Giants 39-21 in Langley last night but fell 3-2 in a shootout. Jacob Kvasnicka registered his 31st goal of the season and Louie Wehmann picked up the other in the loss.
The Royals enter Saturday's matchup 22-21-5-3 on the year. They sit in ninth in WHL's Western Conference, just one point back of Spokane for the final playoff spot.They are 4-6-0-0 in their last 10 games entering Saturday's contest.
Vees Player to Watch: F Jacob Kvasnicka: The Vees rookie has points in 12 of his last 15 games and sits in eighth in the WHL with 68 this season. His 31 goals are the most on the Vees.
Fast Fact: AJ Reyelts' 22 wins are the second most in the WHL. His 2.54 goals against average is the third best mark.
HEAD TO HEAD: This is the final meeting between the Vees and Royals in the regular season. Penticton is 2-1-1-1 against Victoria as the two teams have played each other very tight all season long.
