The Sioux Falls Skyforce returns home to play seven-straight games, which will last until Feb. 5. The team is fresh off a 4-1 road swing, the best since 2015-16, and is currently one of the hottest teams in the NBA G League, with a 13-4 record since the beginning of December.
The homestand couldn't come at a better time, as the Force is 6-1 in their last seven home games.
DJ Stewart poured in a career-high 41 points on 16-28 FGA, six assists, four rebounds and three steals to guide Sioux Falls to a 129-110 victory over the Santa Cruz Warriors on Friday night. It marked the third time this season Stewart has scored 35-plus points this season. The Skyforce (6-3) has won the last two games he has done such. Mychal Mulder added 21 points on 6-10 3PA, as well.
Sioux Falls slashed a 21-point lead and has erased 18-plus point deficits in each of its last two victories.
The contest today with Raptors 905 marks the first time the teams will play at the Sanford Pentagon since 12/22/15, as the Force defeated them 111-102. It also marks the first contest between organizations since the 2019 NBA Winter Showcase, where behind a combined 45 points from Daryl Macon and Jeremiah Martin, Sioux Falls was able to win 108-106.
Containing Raptors 905, 6-7 point forward Dalano Banton will be key today for the Force, as he's averaging 22.3 points on 46.7 percent shooting, 7.3 rebounds and 4.3 assists per 22.3 minutes a game on assignment from Toronto.
The Skyforce hosts the Lakeland Magic on Tuesday and Thursday, with tip-off slated for 6:30 PM CST for each game.
