Tonight's Match-Up:

Tri-City (7-8-0-0) | Portland (9-8-3-0)

The Americans return home to the Toyota Center tonight with two straight wins. They will take on the Winterhawks and look to extend their win streak to three.

Tri-City and Portland meet three times, including tonight, through their final four games of the season. The Americans have been victorious in two of their three prior games against the Winterhawks this season. They most recently played last Saturday when the Ams scored three straight first period goals to carry them to a 3-2 win over the Hawks.

Sasha Mutala has scored in all three games against the Winterhawks this season. Four of his six goals this season have came against the Winterhawks. Mutala, a prospect of the Colorado Avalanche, is on a three game point streak with two goals and three assists over that period.

Talyn Boyko has played in net for all three games against Portland this season and is expected to start again tonight. The 2002-born goaltender has been exceptional against Portland with a 0.917 save percentage through three games.

Tri-City's Last Game:

The Americans wrapped up their season series against the Chiefs last night in Spokane with a thrilling overtime victory. With the win, the Americans completed their season series against the Chiefs 3-2-0-0.

Tyson Greenway put the Americans on the board first tonight as he scored off a rebound 5:56 into the game. Two of Greenway's three goals this season have came in the past two games.

The Chiefs scored twice and held a 2-1 lead into the second period until Connor Bouchard scored on the power play to tie the game. The goal was Tri-City's first scored with a man-advantage since Sasha Mutala scored on the power play against Seattle on April 11th.

The Chiefs once again regained the lead as Luke Toporowski scored his first goal of the WHL season since recently returning to Spokane from the USHL.

Sam Huo replied for the Americans just two minutes later to tie the game for the final time last night. Huo then went on to score the game-winning overtime goal just 20 seconds into the extra frame.

The Ams have excelled in overtime this year with three wins in three appearances.
