Tonight's game in the Hangar features the SPHL's two hottest teams. The Ice Flyers have won 9 of their last 10 and Knoxville has won 13 out of 14. It will also be Special Olympics Night in The Hangar. They will have a concourse table set up so fans in attendance stop by to win 2 tickets to GoDaddy.com Bowl in Mobile, AL on Sunday, January 8th. Special Olympics will also be selling cook books.

Ice Flyers fans that are not able to make it down to the Hangar can watch the game at home online by clicking HERE. Tonight's game will not be broadcasted by 1450 ESPN Pensacola due to a contractual obligation to broadcast the New Orleans Saints playoff game.

Team Scope:

PENSACOLA - The Ice Flyers took it to the Huntsville Havoc last night in the Rocket City winning 5-1. The Flyers are now on their longest win streak of the year at 5. Steve Christie had another great game in net and now has a 10-2-0 record, 1.94 goals against average, and a 0.935 save percentage. Dan Buccella leads the team in scoring with 21 points. Matthew Robinson continues to have hot hands leads the team with 13 goals while Ryan Salvis has 14 assists for the team lead.

This is the last game of the weekend for the Ice Flyers and next week they travel to Huntsville next Friday and Augusta next Saturday.

KNOXVILLE - The Ice Bears are currently in 1 st place in the SPHL and are the league's hottest and highest scoring team. They had their long win streak snapped by the Mississippi Surge Thursday in Knoxville but they got revenge and got back in the win column last night in Biloxi when they trounced the Surge 6-1. Since their number 1 goalie Bryan Hince has been called up to the ECHL, the Ice Bears have relied on Jesse Kallechy who has a 5-5-0 record, 3.13 GAA, and a 0.910 SV%. The Ice Bears leading scorer is veteran Kevin Swider with 54 points. The team lead in goals belongs to another veteran in Emery Olauson with 25 goals. Swider leads the team with 37 assists.

This game will also close out the weekend for Knoxville.
