Game Notes: Sounders FC vs. Portland Timbers - Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup

Sounders FC kicks-off its quest for a record-fifth Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup title with a Fourth Round matchup on Tuesday, June 16 against Cascadia rival Portland Timbers at Starfire Stadium (7:30 p.m. PT / SoundersFC.com, KIRO Radio 97.3 FM, El Rey 1360 AM). Tonight's match is being live-streamed on SoundersFC.com with Ross Fletcher on the call, with a radio simulcast taking place on KIRO Radio 97.3 FM. Jason Rantz, Wade Webber and Pete Fewing are contributing pre and post-match radio coverage. El Rey 1360 AM is also airing the match in Spanish, as fans throughout Western Washington can hear "Zuper" Mario Rodriguez and Felipe Maqueda on the call.

After winning its fourth U.S. Open Cup title in six years last season, Sounders FC aims to continue its unprecedented success in the tournament when it enters in the Fourth Round tonight against the Timbers. Going for its fifth Open Cup title - a record among MLS sides - Sounders FC is 15-0-1 all-time in in the tournament at Starfire Stadium, including a 3-1 extra-time win over Portland last season in the Quarterfinal Round.
