Following the club's fifth straight win last Saturday over first-place FC Dallas, Sounders FC (9-9-5, 32 points) takes its eight-match unbeaten streak into Saturday's nationally-televised contest with rival LA Galaxy (10-8-6, 36 points) on the Xbox Pitch at CenturyLink Field (1:00 p.m. PT / ESPN, YouTube TV, 950 KJR AM, El Rey 1360 AM). Saturday marks the first of two meetings between the two sides this season, with the Galaxy set to host Seattle on September 23 at StubHub Center.
Saturday's match is being carried nationally on ESPN and regionally on YouTube TV, featuring Adrian Healey and Taylor Twellman on the call. Sports Radio 950 KJR AM is airing the fixture on the radio, with Matt Johnson on play-by-play and Kasey Keller on color commentary, as well as Andrew Harvey, Pete Fewing and Danny Jackson handling pre-match, halftime and post-match duty. Fans in Western Washington can listen to El Rey 1360 AM for a Spanish radio broadcast, featuring "Zuper" Mario Rodriguez, Felipe Maqueda and Carlos Tapia.
Following Saturday's match, Brian Schmetzer's side travels south to face Cascadia rival Portland Timbers on Sunday, August 26 at Providence Park (6:30 p.m. PT / FS1, YouTube TV, 950 KJR AM, El Rey 1360 AM).
