Seattle Sounders FC News Release
Following a dramatic 2-1 comeback road win last Saturday over Minnesota United FC, Sounders FC (8-9-5, 29 points) takes its seven-match unbeaten streak into Sunday's nationally-televised home clash with first-place FC Dallas (12-4-6, 42 points) on the Xbox Pitch at CenturyLink Field (7:00 p.m. PT / FS1, YouTube TV, 950 KJR AM, El Rey 1360 AM). Sunday marks the second and final regular-season meeting between the two sides, after Dallas prevailed 3-0 on March 18 at Toyota Stadium.
Nico Lodeiro converts a penalty in stoppage time to equalize last Saturday at Minnesota, minutes before Will Bruin scored the winner to extend the club's winning streak to four games (Rich Moll / Seattle Sounders FC).
Sunday's match is being carried nationally on FS1 and regionally on YouTube TV, featuring John Strong, Brian Dunseth and Katie Witham on the call. Sports Radio 950 KJR AM is airing the fixture on the radio, with Matt Johnson on play-by-play and Kasey Keller on color commentary, as well as Jackson Felts, Wade Webber and Pete Fewing handling pre-match, halftime and post-match duty. Fans in Western Washington can listen to El Rey 1360 AM for a Spanish radio broadcast, featuring "Zuper" Mario Rodriguez, Felipe Maqueda and Carlos Tapia.
Following Sunday's match, Brian Schmetzer's side remains home next weekend to face the LA Galaxy on Saturday, August 18 on the Xbox Pitch at CenturyLink Field (1:00 p.m. PT / ESPN, YouTube TV, 950 KJR AM, El Rey 1360 AM).
