2016 MLS Cup champion Seattle Sounders FC begins its quest to defend the title away from home Saturday evening with a season-opening bout against the Houston Dynamo at BBVA Compass Stadium (5:30 p.m. PT / Q13 FOX, KIRO Radio 97.3 FM, El Rey 1360 AM). Saturday's match is being televised on Q13 FOX, with Keith Costigan and Kasey Keller on the call, as well as Jackie Montgomery, Steve Zakuani and Pete Fewing providing pre, halftime and post-match analysis.

KIRO Radio 97.3 FM is airing the match live with Matt Johnson and Fewing on the call, as well as Jason Rantz, Marcus Hahnemann and Danny Jackson providing pre, halftime and post-match coverage live from The Atlantic Crossing Pub in Seattle. Fans in Western Washington can tune-in to El Rey 1360 AM for a Spanish radio broadcast, featuring "Zuper" Mario Rodriguez and Felipe Maqueda on the call.

Sounders FC opens its ninth season on the road for the first time in club history in a place where the club has yet to win in seven fixtures (0-3-4). Seattle and Houston drew three times last season, including a pair of 1-1 results at BBVA Compass Stadium thanks to extra-time strikes from Chad Marshall and Nicolás Lodeiro.
