TONIGHT'S GAME: Louisville travels to Rochester to begin a three-game series against the Triple-A affiliate of the Minnesota Twins. The Bats look to build on their 6-1 victory in yesterday's series finale against the IronPigs, before heading home starting next week to face the same 2 clubs they will face on the current road trip. Tonight, right-hander Vladimir Gutierrez makes his first career start against Rochester as the Bats finally check off the final team in the IL during the 2019 season.

AGAINST ROCHESTER: The Bats and Red Wings meet for the first time in 2019 today, the final club that Louisville has yet to face this season. When the Bats played the IronPigs earlier in the week for the first time this season, it was the first time since 2012 that Louisville went until August before playing an opponent for the first time in a respective season. In 2018, LOU went 4-2 against the Wings, taking 2 of 3 in both series.

TRANSACTIONS: Louisville added to its active roster today the following players: C Curt Casali (on Major League rehab assignment), LHP Wandy Peralta (optioned by Cincinnati) and IF Blake Trahan (designated for assignment, outrighted to Louisville).

- In corresponding moves, LHP Joe Mantiply was traded to the New York Yankees earlier today in exchange for cash considerations, while RHP Sal Romano was recalled to Cincinnati. In 18 apps with the Bats this season, Mantiply was 0-0 with a 3.72 ERA (12er/29.0) with 3 walks and 26 strikeouts. Romano is 4-7 with a 4.48 ERA (33er/66.1ip) in 38 apps (5 starts) with 2 saves, 25 walks and 74 strikeouts. In his 5 starts, he's 1-0 with a 1.06 ERA (2er/17.0ip) with 5 walks and 28 strikeouts.

- Trahan was designated for assignment on August 5, and outrighted to LOU on Thursday. Peralta was optioned to LOU on August 6, and previously appeared with the Bats in one rehab app on July 7 at Columbus (1.0ip, 1k). Casali will be the eighth MLB rehabber to join Louisville, and third catcher (C Tucker Barnhart, IF Alex Blandino, C Kyle Farmer, IF Scooter Gennett, LHP Wandy Peralta, RHP Robert Stephenson, LHP Alex Wood).

THE SIX MILLION DOLLAR MEN: Louisville trailed 1-0 for over half of Thursday night's game, before exploding for 6 runs in the top of the sixth, tying their season-high for runs scored in an inning, doing it 6 times. The Bats scored on 4 hits in the inning, including a combined 3 doubles from Alfredo Rodriguez, Christian Colon and Nick Longhi.

AAA-ROD: Shortstop Alfredo Rodriguez went 2-for-5 with a double and 2 RBI in his second game with the Bats. He recorded his first Triple-A hit and extra-base hit in his second game after recording Louisville's only RBI in his debut on August 7.

LET'S GET ANOTHER STREAK: The Bats are above .500 (15-12) since the All-Star break, and 20-16 in their last 36 games since June 29. Louisville rattled off a season-high 4-game winning streak from July 26-29, and has had 2 other 3-game winning streaks since the All-Star break, from July 17-19 and July 31-August 2.

WHAT A RELIEF: Louisville relievers Tim Collins, Jackson Stephens and Joe Mantiply combined to throw 4.2 scoreless innings in last night's 6-1 win. Over the past 3 games, the Bats' bullpen has combined to allow just one run in 13.2 innings, good for a 0.66 ERA. In that span, LOU relievers have walked 8 and struck out 16.
