Oshawa Generals News Release
It's rivalry night in Oshawa as the Generals take on the Peterborough Petes in their final meeting of the season. The Generals will look to conclude the season series in dominating fashion as they aim for their seventh straight victory over their long-standing rival.
It is a race to the finish for the 2018 OHL playoffs as there is still much to be determined heading into the final weekend of the regular season. The Oshawa Generals can still finish as high as 4th place or drop as low as 6th and will play either Kingston or Niagara in the first round of the playoffs. With their final two games against non-playoff teams, the Generals will work to secure some critical points and finish strong after going 9-2-0-0 in their last 11 games. Even though the Petes did not make the cut for the postseason, the Gens know that they will be in tough against their bitter rivals as they search for their seventh consecutive win in the season series. During the 6-game win streak, Oshawa has outscored Peterborough 33-15 and has manufactured offence in a variety of ways from even strength goals to powerplay goals and even a short-handed penalty shot goal. The Gens will look to embrace the rivalry and use the energy and bad blood to provide some important motivation in this late season matchup.
