View from Kootenay
The Kootenay ICE are 2-2-0-0 so far this season and have most recently defeated the Edmonton Oil Kings in a 5-4 shootout Friday night. After tonight's tilt, the ICE will host the Regina Pats Oct 12th, travel to Medicine Hat for a rematch Oct 13th and return home to host the Prince George Cougars Oct 14th. Tigers Talent
Gary Haden is a hard-working, two way forward in his third season with the Orange and Black. The 19-year-old Airdrie native has the ability to capitalize on his own chances and the ability to distribute the puck to his teammates. He is a utility player who has been called upon in the past to play defence as well. Look for Haden to create scoring lanes and drive to the net in tonight's tilt.
Captain's Corner
James Hamblin is in his fourth season with the Tigers and was selected by his peers to lead the team this season. The 19-year-old Edmonton product was the Tabbies' first-round pick in 2014 and has played 202 games for the Orange and Black amassing 123 points (50G, 73A).
