
Gamblers Topple Madison on New Year's Eve

The Green Bay Gamblers (12-12-0-1) came out of the holiday break with a bang, defeating the Madison Capitals (13-13-2) in a 5-2 contest at the Resch Center.
The first period featured goals from either team, making it a 1-1 score heading into the second. Both teams would once again score in the period, making it 2-2 until a late goal from Brody Lamb (7) put the Gamblers ahead 3-2 with one period to play. The Gamblers would pull away in the final period of play, featuring goals from Jackson Hallum (14) and Dominik Bartecko (1) to give the Gamblers the 5-2 win.
Jackson Hallum continues his recent run of offensive prowess, scoring 1 goal and 2 assists. The Gamblers also received 1 goal each from Alex Servagno (8), Ryan Greene (7), Brody Lamb (7), and Dominik Bartecko (1). Greene (12) and Servagno (11) also chipped in with 1 assist each, along with Cameron Lund (8), Damien Carfagna (26), Jarod Crespo (12), and Nicholas VanTassell (4). Defensively, Aaron Randazzo played all 60 minutes, saving 28 of 30 shots, allowing 2 goals.
Green Bay will play the Cedar Rapids RoughRiders (12-12-1) Saturday, January 1, at the Resch Center.
Madison will play the Chicago Steel (19-4-5) in Chicago Sunday, January 2, at Fox Valley Ice Arena.
