Gamblers Bounce Back with a 6-3 Victory

The Green Bay Gamblers (2-2) bounced back against the Cedar Rapids RoughRiders (1-3) 6-3 Friday night at the Resch Center. The Gamblers were white-hot to start the game, scoring 5 goals in the opening period, including a hat trick from Jackson Hallum (5) to set the tone early. Cedar Rapids would try to make a comeback, scoring once in the second period and then twice in the third. However, Hallum would seal the game for the Gamblers on an empty-net goal with just under 30 seconds left in the contest.

Hallum was the star of the show, scoring 4 goals total including his first-period hat trick. Other goal scorers include Owen Murray (1) and John Mittelstadt (2). The Gamblers distributed the puck well, with Tim Delay (1) and Murray (2) contributing 1 assist each while Jared Crespo (3) registered 2 assists of his own. In net, Aaron Randazzo went all 60 minutes, saving 26 of 29 shots in the win.

Green Bay will play the Dubuque Fighting Saints (2-0) in Dubuque Saturday, October 8, at the Mystique Ice Center.
