Gades Lose Second Straight to IronBirds

The Hudson Valley Renegades had nine hits -- three by Chad Bell -- but fell to the Aberdeen IronBirds Saturday night, 8-5, in Maryland.

It's the second loss in a row for the Renegades to their rival in the North Division of High-A East. The IronBirds are 7.5 games behind Hudson Valley in the division.

Elijah Dunham homered in the loss as the Birds' Drew Rom improved to 8-0 on the year. Zach Peek pitched four innings to pick up his first save.

Josh Maciejewski took the loss to fall to 5-4. He allowed five earned runs on seven hits over five innings.

The Renegades were down 8-2 in the ninth but they rallied for three to cut the deficit. The teams finish their season series on Sunday before the Renegades return to Dutchess Stadium on Tuesday night.
