TONIGHT'S MATCHUP: Is the six of eight meetings vs. the Titans and Trenton's fourth and final visit here. Richmond is 3-2 vs. Trenton, 2-1 here. The ‘Gades have won three straight vs. the Titans. This is the first meeting between these clubs since November 27. Lars Pettersen has seven points vs. the Titans. Adam Edinger has six vs. the ‘Gades. The ‘Gades are seventh in the Northeast Division, one point behind Charlotte and 11 back of Trenton and Roanoke. The Titans are tied for third in the Northeast with Roanoke, three points back of second place Greensboro.

LAST ACTION: The ‘Gades won here last night 4-1 vs. Pee Dee. Lars Pettersen scored in the first minute to put the ‘Gades in front. Allan Sirois tied the game with a power play goal late in the first period. Pettersen scored his second in the second period to put the ‘Gades ahead to stay. Richard Pitirri added a shorthanded goal and Jonathan St. Louis scored an empty-netter. Marc Magliarditi made 25 saves. The Titans drilled Johnstown 6-1 on the road last night. Trenton was 3-6 on the power play. The Titans blew the game open with three third period goals. Mike Hurley and Matt Zultek each scored two goals.

‘GADES NOTES: The ‘Gades have won their last three games at home by a combined 18-8. Tonight's game is the second of a five game homestand. The ‘Gades snapped a four game loosing streak last night. Lars Pettersen, Brad Church, and Peter Hogan have points in three straight games. The ‘Gades are playing their fourth game in five nights. Richmond has dropped eight straight on the road and is winless in their last 10 road games. Richmond lost a game in regulation when leading after two periods for the first time this season Wednesday at Atlantic City. Richmond is now 19-1-1 when leading after two periods. Daniel Goneau made his Richmond debut last night after joining the ‘Gades in a trade from Louisiana. The other player acquired in that deal, D Branislav Kvetan, has chosen not to report and has been suspended by the ‘Gades. Garret Stroshein has been re-called to Portland of the AHL. He is the seventh ‘Gade to earn a call-up this season. The ‘Gades have played 22 straight games without an overtime. The ‘Gades are 0-3-1 in their last four games with 40 or more shots on goal. Richmond is seventh in the league in fewest shots allowed (30.2), tied for second in shorthanded goals (14), and the ‘Gades are the least penalized club in the league.

TITANS NOTES: The Titans are unbeaten in their last four games (3-0-1). Since snapping a three game loosing streak January 24, the Titans are 10-1-1. The Titans have used 45 players this season. Tonight is the second of a three game road trip for the Titans. Trenton is fourth in the league in goals against average (2.85), fifth in fewest shots allowed (29.7), and seventh in power play (21.2%).

NEXT UP: The ‘Gades host Lexington (featuring ex-‘Gades Joe Vandermeer and Kevin Knopp) Wednesday night at 7:05 (6:50 www.renegades.com, radio TBA). Richmond is also home Friday, and Saturday next week. The Titans visit Roanoke Wednesday.
