Summary
The RubberDucks scored four runs in the first inning and built a 10-0 lead through six innings, and right-hander Hunter Gaddis struck out a season-high nine batters in five scoreless innings to lead a 10-3 victory and second straight win over the Flying Squirrels Saturday night at The Diamond.
Turning Point
Akron took a first-inning lead for the second straight game. Second baseman José Tena hit a leadoff double to right-center field off left-hander Jake Dahlberg. Shortstop Brayan Rocchio hit a double off the glove of center fielder Mike Gigliotti, and first baseman Marcos González hit a sacrifice fly to left field. Center fielder Will Brennan added an RBI single to left field, designated hitter Bo Naylor singled to right field, and left fielder Julian Escobedo hit a two-run double to right-center field for a 4-0 RubberDucks lead and the first two of his season-high three RBIs.
Mound Presence
Gaddis allowed a single and walk to start the first inning, but he stranded both runners and retired 10 batters in a row. He struck out the side in the fifth to reach a season-high nine strikeouts. He allowed two hits and two walks, before right-hander Manuel Alvarez relieved him with a runner on base to record all three outs in the sixth inning. Right-hander Luis Oviedo worked around a hit and two walks in 1 2/3 scoreless innings. Right-hander Nic Enright retired three straight batters before a hit, walk and three-run homer by catcher Robert Emery, but Enright got the final out to finish the win.
Duck Tales
The RubberDucks added two runs in the third inning. Gonzalez singled to center field and scored on Naylor's double to right-center field. Naylor later scored on a throwing error. In the fifth, Gonzalez reached on a throwing error, Brennan and Naylor walked, and right fielder Chris Roller had an RBI groundout. Catcher Eric Rodríguez hit an RBI infield single, and another run scored on a throwing error. In the sixth, Brennan and Naylor walked before Escobedo's RBI single.

Akron's 10 runs were its second-most in a game this season, following seven straight games scoring exactly three or four runs...Every RubberDuck in the starting lineup had one of the team's 12 hits...RubberDucks pitched 19 consecutive scoreless innings before the ninth inning Saturday...Game Time: 3:08...Attendance: 6,330.
