Muskegon Lumberjacks News Release
MUSKEGON - The Muskegon Fury today announced the signing of veteran defenseman Dan Carney. Carney will make his Fury debut tonight against the Fort Wayne Komets.
Carney (5'10", 180) played six games earlier this season with the Kalamazoo Wings, recording no points and two penalty minutes. The 36-year-old is in his 14th professional season.
"We are happy to add Dan to our lineup," Fury coach Bruce Ramsay said. "He is a seasoned veteran who has a nice all-around game. He brings some much-needed depth to our defensive corps."
Carney's best season came in 2003-04, when he registered 37 points in 70 games with the Roanoke Express of the ECHL.
The Fury face the Komets tonight in Fort Wayne. The puck drops at 7:30 p.m.
