INDIANAPOLIS - Daniel Ciampini netted the game-winning goal 2:08 into overtime as the Indy Fuel beat the Cincinnati Cyclones 4-3 on Thursday night at Indiana Farmers Coliseum.

Alex Lavoie, who pitched in with two goals of his own in regulation, won a draw in the Cincinnati end during the extra session and got the puck to Ciampini in the slot. His shot found a hole between the right arm and body of Cyclones goaltender Andy Iles (33 saves) and crawled over the goal line for the winner.

Cody Sharib opened up the scoring for Indy at 10:15 of the first period with his 15th of the season from Kevin Clare and Matt White.

The Cyclones pushed back for a pair of goals in the second period before Lavoie scored his first of the night at 16:04 of the second period from Ciampini and Ben Marshall.

In the third Lavoie converted a three-way passing play that saw Ciampini spring Peter Schneider down the left side of the Cyclones slot where he waited the defender down to the ice and slid a pass across to a wide open Lavoie for his team-leading 16th goal of the season.

Late in the third period, the Cyclones would pull Iles for the extra attacker and Tommy Mele's second goal of the night sent the game to overtime at 19:04.

Fuel goaltender Keegan Asmundson finished with 19 saves to run his record against Cincinnati to 3-0 on the season.

Indy will host Cincinnati again Friday night at 7:35 pm on Superhero Night. The Morellis Cleaners Indy Fuel pregame show starts 15 minutes prior to puck drop for the webcast on CBSSports1430.com and via the TuneIn Radio app.
