GLENS FALLS, NY -- Kris Tebbs made 32 saves in his first appearance in a month, and Mike Berry scored a pair of goals to help lead the Adirondack Frostbite to a 3-2 win on Saturday over the Danbury Trashers in front of a season-high crowd of 4,070 fans at the Glens Falls Civic Center. The win for Tebbs was his first since December 3.

The Frostbite opened the scoring just 2:29 into the contest with a power-play goal. Greg Koehler fed Hugo Belanger in the right-wing circle, and he one-timed a shot past Sylvain Daigle for his 19th of the season.

Berry doubled the Adirondack advantage 1:21 into the second period. Belanger centered a pass in front, and Berry redirected it past Daigle for his 18th of the year.

Danbury pulled within one at 6:25 of the third, scoring a 5-on-3 power-play goal. Jean-Michel Daoust took a pass in the left-wing circle and beat Tebbs high to make it 2-1.

But, the Frostbite came right back 2:34 later to re-take their two-goal lead. Berry gathered in a puck on the left-wing side, and beat Daigle over the left shoulder for his 19th of the year,

That proved to be a big goal as the Trashers scored a shorthanded goal at 17:29 when Ryan Barnes picked up a loose puck behind the Frostbite net and threw it back in front. The puck deflected off of Tebbs' skate and went into the goal to make it 3-2.

The Frostbite withstood one last Trasher rush, with Tebbs making the final save as the horn sounded.

With the win, the Frostbite pull to within five points of the first place Trashers with five games in hand.

Adirondack and Danbury play the back end of their home-and-home series on Sunday with face-off set for 2:00 p.m. at the Danbury Ice Arena. Catch all of the action on WCKM 98.5 starting with the pre-game show at 1:40.
