Kingston Frontenacs News Release

The Kingston Frontenacs announce today that they have moved second year right winger Dylan Staples to the Soo Greyhounds for third year right winger Trevor Morbeck and a 10th round selection in the 2013 OHL Priority Selection.

"This is an opportunity we felt was beneficial for both clubs," said Doug Gilmour, General Manger of the Fronts. "It's a fresh start for both players as well. We want to thank Dylan for all his hard work and are excited to welcome Trevor to the Frontenacs," he added.

Morbeck, a Wisconsin native, played 57 games in each of his first two seasons with the Greyhounds, scoring 15 goals and 33 points with 89 penalty minutes in 114 games. This season he has one assist and 13 minutes in penalties in 13 contests. Originally selected by the Soo with their 3rd round choice, 60th overall in the 2009 OHL Priority Selection, Morbeck had 48 goals and 109 points in his draft year playing with Team Illinois U16's. The 6.02, 197 pounder will join the Club in time for this weekend's games and wear #12.

The Frontenacs take to the ice for three games on the road in Windsor Thursday, Saginaw Friday and Plymouth Saturday. All games can be heard on 88.7 MyFM with Play-By-Play with Jim Gilchrist. Thursday's game may be seen on COGECO channel 13 or 700.
