Kingston Frontenacs News Release
Kingston-General Manager Doug Gilmour announced today that the Kingston Frontenacs have acquired the rights to goaltender Lucas Peressini from the Saginaw Spirit in exchange for their 4th round selection in the 2014 OHL Priority Selection. Peressini, a native of Nobelton, Ontario who stands 6'2" and 175 lbs., is currently playing in the Ontario Junior Hockey League for the Newmarket Hurricanes.
"The addition of Lucas brings a younger goalie into our system," said General Manager Doug Gilmour. "We feel Lucas has the size and ability to be an impact goalie in the OHL and are proud to have him as a member of the Frontenacs. Lucas will continue to play in Newmarket for the remainder of the season but we hope to have him join us for some games this season to give him some first hand OHL experience."
The Frontenacs are in action for their annual New Year's Day matchup vs. Ottawa 67s tomorrow afternoon at 2 p.m.
