Cape Cod Frenzy News Release

Bourne, Massachusetts: The Cape Cod Frenzy of the American Basketball Association (ABA) formally announce the signing of 6'1 215 lb point guard Bilal Dawan-Abdullah.

Dawan-Abdullah is from Dorchester, Massachusetts and can play either guard spot. He is an unselfish player with a very strong frame and a tough defensive mentality. From 1998 to 2000, he chose to attend Roxbury Community College (RCC). In his senior season, RCC captured it's first ever NJCAA Championship, and finished with an impressive record of 33-2. Dawan-Abdullah was named to the NJCAA All America First Team. Following junior college, Dawan-Abdullah took his talents to St. Joseph's of Maine, where he averaged 17.0 points, 6.6 rebounds, and 2.6 assists per game, all while shooting 47% from the field and 41% from three point range.

This past summer, Dawan-Abdullah competed against the Cape Cod Frenzy's summer league team in the Boston Premiere Pro Exposure Summer League at Mass Arts where he averaged 24.0 points per game. In 2005, he was named Most Outstanding Player of the Boston Premiere Pro Exposure Summer League. He has also played professionally in South America and attended the Cape Cod Frenzy veteran's camp in September.

Bilal Dawan-Abdullah joins 6'10 275 lb center Nguye "Bob" Kaladokubo as the two new Frenzy faces that have been added to the team this week. Both players will be in uniform this Saturday as the Frenzy faces the new Montreal ABA team at Bourne Middle School at 7:00 PM. You can always buy Frenzy tickets online at www.capecodfrenzy.com via E-Ticket or at the game.
