RazorSharks Derail Express 103-70

(Rochester, NY)...The Rochester RazorSharks had five players score in double figures as they defeated the Newark Express 103-70 in an American Basketball Association game Thursday night at The Blue Cross Arena in downtown Rochester. The RazorSharks improved to 13-5 on the season and have won six of their last seven games. Rochester has won 26 consecutive games on home court at The Blue Cross Arena.

Guard Demond Stewart led the scoring parade with 18 points, while Brian Edwards (17 points), Keith Friel (16), James "Mook" Reaves (15) and Eric Coley (10) each contributed offensively. Lazarus Sims had 11 assists for Rochester. The RazorSharks held their opponent to the second fewest points all-time in the history of the franchise. Duquan Everett led Newark with 17 points as the Express fell to 2-12.

The defending ABA champion RazorSharks host the first-place Vermont Frostheaves (17-3) on Saturday afternoon, January 13 at 2:05 p.m. in a battle of two of the best teams in the ABA. It is the first visit ever by Vermont in Rochester.
