
Freibergs Returns to Reign, Brings Jets Prospect

ONTARIO, Calif. - The Ontario Reign, four-time Pacific Division Champions and proud affiliate of the NHL's 2014 Stanley Cup Champion Los Angeles Kings and Winnipeg Jets, have announced that rookie defenseman Ralfs Freibergs has been reassigned to the club by the St. John's IceCaps, while right wing Patrick Holland has been reassigned to Ontario from St. John's by the Jets.
Freibergs, 23, has already dressed in 24 games with the Reign this season, posting eight points (2g-6a) and four penalty minutes. In five games with St. John's this season, the native of Riga, Latvia has picked up two assists and two penalty minutes.
Holland, 23, has appeared in seven games with the IceCaps in 2014-15, going pointless with four penalty minutes. The 6-foot, 175-pound winger has 138 games of professional hockey experience, including five games with the Montreal Canadiens in 2013-14; in his pro career, Holland has totaled 45 points (16g-29a) and 14 penalty minutes.
Prior to turning pro, Holland spent his junior career with the Tri-City Americans of the Western Hockey League, amassing 208 points (63g-145a) and 86 penalty minutes in 205 games.
Holland was a seventh round selection of the Calgary Flames (#193 overall) in the 2010 NHL Entry Draft.
