O'Fallon, Missouri: The Freedom looked to snap their losing streak last night with a new series in River City, but Florence failed to snap their losing streak, which now stands at seven after a 6-5 defeat in 10 innings.
Wally Quigg led a struggling Freedom offense, he went 2-5 with an RBI and a run scored. Trevor Allen had two hits with an RBI, and Greg Buscher had a pair of RBI. Justin Roelle pitched great in relief, going five innings, and giving up three runs.
Game two of the three game set is tonight, Jason Bowlin (0-1) is set to go for the Freedom, and Chris Webb (NR) is the scheduled starter for River City. The Freedom don't return to Champion Window Field until June 10th, when the Windy City Thunderbolts come in to play a three game series.
