Florence Y'alls
Florence, Kentucky: 1,986 fans passed through the gates at Champion Window Field, hoping to see Florence even up the series with third place Chillicothe, but Florence couldn't overcome an early deficit, losing 7-3.
A lineup change for Florence worked relatively well, Mike Galloway who lead off went 2-4, and cleanup hitter Kyle Geswein smacked his 21st homerun of the season in the fourth. Florence managed to score to runs in the eighth and ninth, with Galloway and Kinsolving behind them. The Freedom did manage to load up the bases with two out in the ninth, but failed to score. Corey Thurman (0-2) picked up the loss for the Freedom, but he struck out seven in the process. Josh Sanchez managed to reach on base every AB he saw on the night.
The Freedom look to avoid the sweep tonight at 6:05 at Champion Window Field, then they head out on a six game road trip.
