Freedom Come Home for Clash with Otters

FLORENCE, Ky - The home schedule is winding down for the Florence Freedom, presented by Titan Mechanical Solutions, and their final nine games at UC Health Stadium will go a long way in determining their postseason fate. This weekend, the Freedom take on West Division foe Evansville, with the Otters on the heels of Florence, in fifth place in the West standings. However, both teams are less than five games out of first place, with Florence just 3.5 games back, and Evansville 4.5 games off the top spot. Coming off a series split with the Gateway Grizzlies this week, Florence sits at 41-40, while Evansville boasts a flipped record at 40-41.

Fans are rewarded for purchasing tickets in advance of game day, as reserved tickets start at just $9 ($3 savings per ticket) when purchased in advance. Promotions in this series include the following:

Friday

Join the Freedom on Friday August, 17th for our "Builders Kickoff." UC Health Stadium will be filled with some spectacular building block models thanks to OKILUG, and will have building block stations set up around the ballpark which fans will be able to use their creativity and build whatever they like!

How the giveaway works: The first 1000 KIDS CLUB MEMBERS will receive a BRXLZ Freedom player! (a little Freedom player made of bricks!). Become a Kids Club member today here!

Building Block Activities: Fans will have the chance to build their own Lego creations around the ballpark, as well as building block exhibits around the ballpark setup by OKILUG.

Immediately after the Freedom vs Otters game, Elite Pyrotechnics will light up the sky with an amazing fireworks show presented by Arlinghaus Plumbing, Heating and Air Conditioning. Gates will open at 6:05, and first pitch is schedule for 7:05.

Saturday

It's Clash of Fans night On August 18th! Clash Royale Tournament: To fit the promotion of the evening, the Freedom will host a Clash Royale tournament for iOS & Android users. The tournament will begin at 9pm and be hosted in our upstairs hospitality areas. The tournament will be a 10,000 gem tournament with the prizes being as follows:

1st place: 14,000 gold & 2,000 cards, also the champion of the Florence Freedom Clash of Fans Tournament will receive a custom jersey as seen above & a custom Giant trophy made of LEGOS. Second place receives 1,200 cards & a custom Clash trophy made of LEGOS and third place is rewarded with 800 cards.

Entry raffle prizes: We will have three entry prizes, including a $15 iTunes gift card, $15 Google Play gift card & custom jersey.

The tournament password will be given to fans at approximately 8:30pm inside the ballpark. The Freedom recommend coming prepared with a charged device and access to LTE data on your phone/tablet. Some charging stations will be provided inside the ballpark. Entry for the tournament is free assuming admission to the ballpark for the game.

Specialty Jerseys: The Freedom will also be wearing special uniforms that resemble what the Giant wears in Clash of Clans. The bidding will begin at $50 and conclude at the end of the 6th inning.

LEGO Activities: Fans will have the chance to build their own Lego creations around the ballpark, as well as LEGO exhibits around the ballpark setup by OKILUG.

Rockin' Saturday: Enjoy a concert after the game by Doghouse! The bar stays open & the music will be playing in the bandstand!

Post-game kickball: While the music is playing, kids 12 and under can play on the field in a game of kickball supervised by our Freedom interns. A great way for the adults to enjoy the music while we provide the fun for your little ones. Kickball does require a wristband for entrance (kids zone, hospitality or purchased at the field entrance post-game for $2)

Gates will open at 5:05, and first pitch is scheduled for 6:05.

Sunday

The final game of this three-game set is on Sunday, August 19th! Giveaway: The first 1,000 fans will receive a pack of Florence Freedom trading cards presented by Union Pediatric Dentistry! Also, the first 1,000 Freedom fans to enter the ballpark will receive a free invisibility cloak! It will be so invisible you may never see it with your own eyes!

Activities: Enjoy a wand making station, learn spells, and more! There will be Quidditch players throughout the ballpark for you to interact with and take photos! Mad Chad will be at the game on Sunday! He will be juggling chainsaws, bowling balls, etc. in between innings!

Mess Hall meal: Fans who PRE-ORDERED the Harry Potter Mess Hall meal will have their name on a list. More details to come on where and when to meet once inside the ballpark.

Kids Run the Bases: Kids get to run the bases post-game and be treated to a FREE kids meal at Gold Star Chili.

Player Autographs: Then as the kids come off the field, they are greeted by the entire Freedom team for a post-game autograph session presented by Cornerstone Lillie Insurance.

First pitch is scheduled for 2:35 PM, with gates set to open at 1:35 PM.
