Frazier Homerun Equals Tenth Straight Smokies Loss

Zebulon, N.C. -The Smokies (21-32) crash again for the tenth straight game 1-0 to Carolina (28-24), Tuesday night at Five County in Zebulon. Tennessee watched as Todd Frazier crushed a long homerun over the right field wall. The bomb gave Carolina the win, their fifth straight.

Casey Coleman pitched 6 2/3 innings in the start for Tennessee. He would keep Carolina from scoring while yielding eight hits and five walks. Coleman recorded two strikeouts and stranded nine Mudcats base runners

Jason Ruhlman was excellent in relief for the Smokies keeping Carolina off the board in the Eighth and Ninth innings.

Travis Wood started for Carolina but did not factor in the games decision. Wood went 6 innings and shutout the Smokies offence allowing one walk, three singles and struck out six.
