Francis Named Midwest League Batter of the Week

Burlington, IA (August 17, 2009) - The Midwest League announced today that Bees outfielder Nick Francis was named Batter of the Week for the week of August 10-16.
For the week, the slugging outfielder went 13-for-25 (.520) with three runs scored, three doubles, one home run, and eight RBI. His success helped the Bees go 4-3 on the week, keeping them in the playoff hunt.
Overall on the season, Francis is hitting .274, and leads the team with 51 runs scored, 13 home runs and 61 RBI.
