Fox Communities Credit Union Night at Joannes as Bullfrogs Face the Express

Green Bay, Wis. - It's Fox Communities Credit Union night at the ballpark as the Bullfrogs welcome a North Division opponent, the Eau Claire Express. Today will begin a two game series between the two, the Express swept the first two games in Eau Claire earlier this season. The Bullfrogs enter the game with a 9-17 record.
Last night the Bullfrogs lost a heartbreaker to the Madison Mallards, 6-5. In game that was right there for taking, a late inning rally by the Mallards handed the Bullfrogs their second loss in a row. The Bullfrogs took a 5-4 lead into the ninth inning but a RBI single by Matt Vierling (Notre Dame) off of Harrisen Egly (Columbia) sent the game into extra innings. It took 12 innings but the Mallards pulled out the victory after scoring the go ahead run off of a RBI double from Cameron Frost (Washington State).
The bullpen was strong for the Bullfrogs as BJ Sabol (Indiana) and Jeremy Graf (Flagler) combined for four plus innings of scoreless baseball out of the pen. Marcus Shoemaker (Lenoir Rhyne) had two hits, one RBI, and reached base four times. The Bullfrogs scored four of their five runs via the long ball as Jonah Davis (UC-Berkeley) and Quincy Nieporte (Florida State) both hit two-run home runs.
Tonight, Chad Mabini (Western Carolina) will make his third start of the season. With a record of 0-2, Mabini eyes his first win of the season against the Express. The Express send Ryan Hamilton to the mound. He is 2-2 with a 5.40 ERA.
First pitch is set for 7:05pm.
Fox Communities Credit Union representatives will be handing out cash giveaways to fans as they enter the ballpark.
