Wilmington Blue Rocks News Release
Lynchburg, VA - John Lamb (5-2), Harold Mozingo and Barry Bowden combined on a four-hitter as the Wilmington Blue Rocks (43-43, 11-5) blanked the Lynchburg Hillcats (34-51, 5-10) on Friday night, 5-0. Five frames of single scores provided the run support. Nick Francis led the way with a double and a homer while Jarrod Dyson knocked in two with a pair of sac flies. The Rocks' sixth shutout of the season is also their third on the month as they secured their second sweep of the season and finished their seven-game road trip at 5-2.
The Blue Rocks return to the Riverfront for a seven-game homestand starting on Saturday at 6:05 p.m. against the Myrtle Beach Pelicans. Right-hander Tim Melville (2-10, 5.72) starts for Wilmington against local product Brett Oberholtzer (2-3, 4.47), a graduate of William Penn High School. It will be a "Twilight" theme night at the park and the first 1,000 fans in attendance will receive a Blue Rocks t-shirt, courtesy of the Delaware Lottery.
Remember, for any Saturday game that you purchase at least two or more tickets to you may "Super Size" your order for $10. That includes an $8 Quarry Team Store gift card, two free hot dogs and two free sodas with an actual value of $15.
