Texas AirHogs News Release

CLEBURNE, Texas - Correlle Prime went deep, and Chen Junpeng finished with two hits plus an RBI, but the Texas AirHogs fell to the Cleburne Railroaders 5-3 Monday at The Depot.

Cleburne scored four times in the fourth inning to overcome an early 3-1 AirHogs lead. Starter Miguel Rosario (1-6) faced just ten through the first three innings before allowing three singles and a three-run home run by Cameron Monger that gave the Railroaders a lead they would not relinquish.

Texas got out to the early advantage on a two-run homer by Prime in the second. He took Railroaders starter Josh Hodges (1-1) out of the yard for his second home run since joining the team June 8th. Chen Junpeng tagged Hodges for an RBI single in the fourth, but Hodges would fire scoreless fifth and sixth frames, scattering six total hits and three total runs (three earned), to get the win.

The Railroaders outhit the AirHogs 8-7. Pat Palmeiro led the way for Cleburne with three hits, including a solo home run in the second vs. Rosario. The Texas defense turned three double plays to match a season-high. Shawn Blackwell earned his sixth save of the season with a 1-2-3 ninth.

Texas (9-31) will host the Railroaders (16-25) tomorrow at AirHogs Stadium at 5:35 p.m. RHP Meng Weiqiang (3-4, 3.94 ERA) is expected to start for the AirHogs.
