
Four Players Join Penguins From Wheeling

WILKES-BARRE, PA - The Pittsburgh Penguins have reassigned forward Aaron Boogaard and defenseman Jon D'Aversa from the Wheeling Nailers to the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins, it was announced on Tuesday.
Additionally, the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins have recalled forwards Ned Havern and Kyle Rank from the Wheeling Nailers.
Boogaard, 21, appeared in 58 games with the Nailers this season, recording 15 points (6+9) and 105 penalty minutes. He also played in two games with Wilkes-Barre/Scranton, recording five penalty minutes. He was signed by the Pittsburgh Penguins as a free agent on April 23, 2007.
D'Aversa, 22, recorded 14 points (1+13) in 25 games with Wheeling this season. He has also notched six points (4+2) in 27 games with Wilkes-Barre/Scranton this season. D'Aversa was signed by Pittsburgh as a free agent on May 25, 2007.
Havern, 25, recorded 24 points (13+11) in 29 games with Wheeling this season. He has also appeared in 33 games with Wilkes-Barre/Scranton, recording nine points (3+6). He was signed by Wilkes-Barre/Scranton as a free agent on July 25, 2007.
Rank, 25, posted 23 points (10+13) in 34 games with Wheeling this season, to go along with one assist in 25 games with Wilkes-Barre/Scranton. He was signed by Wilkes-Barre/Scranton as a free agent on June 11, 2007.
The Penguins return to action on Wednesday when they host the Bridgeport Sound Tigers at the Wachovia Arena at Casey Plaza.
