Four New Players Sign Two-Year Deals

Montreal, Jan. 14, 2009 - Montreal Alouettes Vice President and General Manager Jim Popp is pleased to announce the following four players have been invited to training camp.

Blue Adams (5'10'', 187 lbs.) is a 29-year-old cornerback who spent the last six seasons in the NFL. A 2003 seventh-round selection by the Detroit Lions, Blue also played for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, the Jacksonville Jaguars, the Chicago Bears, the Cincinnati Bengals and the Atlanta Falcons. He also played for the NFLE Rhein Fire. He played college football at Cincinnati.

Ramon Guzman (6'2'', 232 lbs.) played for the Indianapolis Colts the last two seasons. In 2007, he played 16 games and tallied 16 tackles. The 26-year-old linebacker played 40 games with the Buffalo Bulls in college, making 163 tackles, 18 tackles for losses, intercepting one pass, forcing a fumble and recording six sacks.

Frantz Hardy (6', 185 lbs.) is a 24-year-old wide receiver who comes from the prestigious Nebraska Cornhuskers program, with which he played 38 games, catching 54 passes for 971 yards and seven touchdowns. In 2007, he caught 15 passes for 305 yards and three touchdowns in 12 games. He attended the Philadelphia Eagles' training camp in 2008.

Martavius Prince (6'3'', 287 lbs.) is a defensive tackle who attended training camp with the Pittsburgh Steelers' last year, following four years at Southern Mississippi. In 2007, with the Golden Eagles, he recorded seven sacks, 11 tackles for losses of 64 yards, two fumble recoveries and 40 defensive tackles. He is 24.

All four players have signed one-year contracts plus an option and are expected at the Alouettes' training camp in June.
