
Grey Cup Visits Less Fortunate

Members of the Calgary Stampeders offensive line will be bringing the Grey Cup to Knox United Church (506, 4th St. S.W.) on Jan. 15 for the Calgary Urban Projects Society's holiday dinner. The meal is held each year for Calgary's less fortunate. Jeff Pilon (Stamps player representative for CUPS) and members of the offensive line will be mingling with guests and taking pictures with the Cup from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.
Earlier in the day, Stamps defensive lineman Mike Labinjo and punter Burke Dales will be taking the Grey Cup to SAIT's main campus (1301, 16th Ave. N.W.) as part of the institute's welcome-back celebration. The players will be signing autographs and taking photos with students from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the main atrium of the Heart building on campus.
Season tickets for the 2009 Canadian Football League season are now on sale and Stamps fans are encouraged to call the Stamps' Ticket Office at 403.289.0258 to get theirs. Season-ticket holders will be given first rights to their seats for the 2009 Grey Cup in Calgary.
