
Four Goal Third Period Lifts Marlies to 4-1 Victory over Texas

Toronto Marlies News Release
The Toronto Marlies defeated the Texas Stars, AHL affiliate of the Dallas Stars, by a score of 4-1 this afternoon in front of 10,835 fans at Air Canada Centre.
After a scoreless opening period, Stars forward Brett Ritchie tallied his 12th goal of the season at 15:15 of the middle frame. The Marlies would respond on a powerplay at 7:16 of the third period when Josh Leivo notched his 11th goal of the year. Jerry D'Amigo scored the eventual game winning goal just before the midway point of the period with Spencer Abbott and Stuart Percy drawing the assists. Leivo and D'Amigo would add empty net goals late in the game to give the Marlies a 4-1 win.
Toronto returns to the ice on Saturday, February 22 when they host the San Antonio Rampage, AHL affiliate of the Florida Panthers, at Ricoh Coliseum. Puck drop is set for 3 p.m. Tickets are still available and can be purchased by calling the team's ticket line at 416-597-PUCK (7825).
