
Minnesota Rewards Curry with NHL Contract

Des Moines, IA - Minnesota Wild General Manager Chuck Fletcher on Monday announced the National Hockey League (NHL) club has signed goalie John Curry to a two-way National Hockey League (NHL) contract.
Curry, 29 (2/27/84), has posted a 6-3-2 record, 1.95 GAA and .939 SV% in 12 games with the Iowa Wild of the American Hockey League (AHL) this season. The 5-foot-11, 185-pound netminder has also posted a 10-2-0 record, 2.66 GAA and .917 SV% in 13 games with the Orlando Solar Bears in the ECHL this season, his seventh year of professional hockey. The native of Shorewood, Minn., previously played four games with the Pittsburgh Penguins from 2008-10 after being named one of 10 finalists for the Hobey Baker Award while at Boston University in 2006-07.
The Wild begins a three-game road trip on Wednesday in Rochester at 6:05 p.m. (CT). The team plays a pair of games at Lake Erie before returning home on Tuesday, Feb. 25 for a 5:35 p.m. faceoff with Rockford. The game is a $2 Tuesday, where fans can purchase any level ticket with a $2 discount. Patrons will also be able to purchase $2 sodas, $2 popcorns and $2 10-ounce domestic drafts (21 and older - only through first period of play). Select merchandise items will also be discounted by $2. The team will also host the Rochester Americans at 7:05 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 27.
Fans may purchase single game tickets multiple ways, either through the team's website - www.Iowawild.com, Wells Fargo Arena box office or Dahl's Ticketing. Tickets are available online at www.iowawild.com under the single game tickets tab. Fans may also purchase tickets by calling 1-866-55-DAHLS (32457) or by visiting one of 13 Dahl's Food Stores locations in the greater Des Moines area, and in Ames.
