
Four Bucks Named Nwl All-Stars

Waterloo, IA - The Northwoods League has announced that four Waterloo Bucks have been named to the 2012 All-Star Game. Those players are Austin Barrett, Sean Borman, Kevin Kaczmarski, and Jordan Foley. They will participate in the 2012 NWL All-Star Game that will be played Tuesday, July 24 at 7:35 pm in Madison, Wisconsin.
Catcher Austin Barrett, a sophomore from Mercer University and originally from Mims, Florida, is currently leading the team with an average of .371. He has hit two homers on the season and ten doubles. Barrett has brought in 16 RBI and also has scored another 20 runs. His .946 OPS is second on the team this season.
Sean Borman, a junior from St. Cloud State University, is hitting for power and average this season. He is hitting .331 and is slugging .483. Borman has hit four home runs, has a team leading 11 doubles and is third on the team with 27 RBI. Originally from Minnetonka, Minnesota, Borman was selected to the All-Star team as a third baseman.
Evansville University product Kevin Kaczmarski has played at all three outfield positions and provided tremendous defense all over. His five home runs are tied for the team lead and his 29 RBI are second on the team. Kaczmarski's (pronounced kaz-MAR-ski) average is at .352 on the season and his 1.030 OPS is leading the team. He is originally from Cary, Illinois.
Jordan Foley of Central Michigan University was the lone pitcher on the Bucks selected with his 22 strikeouts and 23 walks. From The Colony, Texas, Foley has a team-leading four wins this season and a 4.45 ERA. He has been dominant at times against opponents this year with a .236 batting average against. Right-handed hitters have only hit .207 against him.
Both the North Division and South Division NWL All-Star teams were announced earlier today by the league. The Bucks wrap up a five game series with the Border Cats tomorrow night.
