(Rochester, MN) - The Rochester Honkers dropped the first game of a two-game set with the St. Cloud Rox on Saturday, July 14th in Rochester, MN. The game was resumed after being suspended yesterday due to heavy rain.

The Honkers had a 2-0 lead when rain postponed their series opener with the Rox on Friday night in the fifth inning.

Lefty Matt Kent (Texas A&M) came back out today attempting to finish what he started last night but gave up the lead after surrendering four runs in his 8.0 total innings of work. Kent is now 2-4 on the summer.

The Honkers offense collected just four hits in the game. Leftfielder Justin Parr (Illinois) went 1 for 4 with a double and a run. Second baseman Reid Roper (Illinois) finished 1 for 4 with an RBI.

The Honkers and Rox will now play the regularly scheduled finale of the two-game series this evening, July 14th, at 7:15 PM. Nick Dolsky (DMACC) gets the start for Rochester against St. Cloud starter Lucas Long (Arizona). Dolsky is 0-1 with 1.50 ERA in 6.0 total innings over two appearances. Long is 1-0 in two starts with a 6.48 ERA.

A Fireworks Extravaganza will follow the completion of the second game.
