Honkers Game Suspended Until Saturday

(Rochester, MN)-- Game one of a two-game set between the Rochester Honkers and St. Cloud Rox has officially been postponed until tomorrow, July 13th. The game will pick up where it left off in the top of the fifth inning and the Honkers on top 2-0 at 5:05 PM. The Rox have a man on second base with nobody out. 30 minutes after game one is completed, the two teams will then play their regularly scheduled game. That game will be just a seven inning contest.

Through 4.0 plus innings, Rochester starter Matt Kent (Texas A&M) has allowed just three hits and zero St. Cloud runs. The Honkers offense scored two runs in the bottom of the first inning on a Trevor Podratz (Hawai'i) RBI groundout and a wild pitch from Rox starter Keaton Siomkin (California). Honkers leftfielder Justin Parr (Illinois) has the lone Rochester base hit with a double in the first inning.

The Fireworks Extravaganza that was scheduled for Friday night is also postponed until Saturday, July 13th and will take place after the second game.
