Ben Foster threw eight innings of one run baseball as the Evansville Otters won their second straight game, beating the Chillicothe Paints 5-1.

The game was a matchup of two of the best pitchers in the Frontier League as John Martinez was on the mound for Chillicothe. The game went scoreless into the bottom of the fifth, with Martinez being perfect through the first 4.1 innings. Cole Hilts drew a walk with one out in the fifth and Martinez was never the same after. Following a strikeout by Beau Blacken, Trask Munoz singled and Steve Martin homered for the first runs of the game, putting Evansville up 3-0.

The Otters tacked one more in the fifth and plated one in the sixth for their 5-0 lead. Chillicothe scored a run in the eighth to make the final margin 5-1.

Foster (7-2) was magnificent allowing three hits and one unearned run, striking out six over eight innings. John Martinez (10-2) took the loss for Chillicothe.

The final game of the series is tomorrow night with Andre Simpson (3-5) taking the mound against the Otters against Justin Munoz (2-2) for the Paints.
