Forward David Eddy Assigned to Alaska from Abbotsford

ANCHORAGE, Alaska - The Alaska Aces, proud ECHL affiliate of the Calgary Flames of the National Hockey League, announced that forward David Eddy has been assigned to the Aces from the Abbotsford Heat of the American Hockey League.

Abbotsford is the AHL affiliate of the Aces and Flames.

Eddy, 23, earned 16 points and 61 penalty minutes in 32 games with the Utah Grizzlies (ECHL) and appeared in ten games with Abbotsford last season. He also skated in two games with the Heat and participated in Calgary training camp to begin the 2013-14 campaign.

The 6-foot, 187-pound forward has scored a goal and suited up in 16 career AHL games with Abbotsford. He previously collected 65 points (30g-35a) and a +12 rating in 92 career college games with St. Cloud State University (NCAA).

The native of Woodbury, Minn. also had a goal in four playoff games last season with Utah.

The Aces return to play Friday against the host Las Vegas Wranglers at 6:05 p.m. (750 AM KFQD).
