Royals Loan Forward Ian O'Connor to St. John's IceCaps

Reading, PA - The Reading Royals of the ECHL, affiliate of the Washington Capitals of the National Hockey League and the Hershey Bears of the American Hockey League, today announced that the team has loaned forward Ian O'Connor to the St. John's IceCaps of the AHL. O'Connor, a third year pro from Londonderry, New Hampshire, was assessed with seven penalty minutes, which included a fighting major, in two games with the Royals this past weekend. O'Connor has played 19 AHL games in his career, including 17 last season with the Manchester Monarchs.

The Royals return to action on Friday (October 25 @ 7:05 pm) when the team will face the Elmira Jackals at First Arena in Elmira, New York. The game night broadcast that night will kick off at 6:35 pm on CBS Sports Radio (1240 am and 98.5 fm in Reading). Friday's game, as with all Royals' road games, will be televised locally in Berks County, Pennsylvania, on BCTV courtesy of Boscov's Travel and Apple Vacations.
