Forward Chris Chappell Reassigned to Charlotte

HARTFORD: Hartford Wolf Pack general manager Jim Schoenfeld announced today that the parent New York Rangers have reassigned forward Chris Chappell from the Wolf Pack to the team's ECHL affiliate, the Charlotte Checkers.

Chappell joined the Wolf Pack for his latest stint November 9, and has skated in a total of six games with the Pack, going scoreless with five penalty minutes and two shots on goal. In five ECHL games with Charlotte, the rookie out of the Ontario Hockey League has one goal and one assist for two points and is +1.

Chappell signed as a free agent with the Rangers July 2, after tallying 38 goals and 38 assists for 76 points in 68 games with the OHL's Saginaw Spirit last season.

The Wolf Pack are next in action this Friday night, December 4, when they journey to Manchester to tangle with the Atlantic Division-leading Monarchs in a 7:30 game (WTIC HD-2, www.hartfordwolfpack.com, www.wtic.com). The Pack's next home game is next Friday, December 11, against Kevin Dineen and the Portland Pirates on Guida's Family Value Night (7:00).
